Even wide open at F/2 it is sharper then some other lens I have ever used.
L – The IS version of the lens is silly expensive, but the standard version shares the same glass using its brother. Photos are great at 3200 ISO even in Raw mode with standard noise reduction. When I would switch between my 40D and 5D2 We found out just how spoiled that screen had made me, since the 40D screen looked terrible to me now when previously I thought that had a great screen. If you own a cropped sensor camera its a great little lens. In revenge of what I just said about taking pictures with “L” glass, this camera is flawlessly serviceable with regular lenses.
